Introduction
  1. Oxford City Council Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) Application Form

    This form is for the period 2 December 2020 - 31 March 2021
  2. Please read the online guidance at the GOV.UK Eligibility Check page before applying, to be certain you are eligible to do so. This scheme is designed to support businesses that have been severely impacted during the periods of local/national restrictions, or are in the sectors required to close, but not supported through the separate grant for business rate payers. We reserve the right to change the scheme if necessary due to local circumstances.
  3. Please be aware that:
    • As part of the application process we may look to confirm your identity by verifying an accepted form of photographic ID. As required, details of how to complete this identity verification stage will be sent to you once the following application form is submitted. Oxford City Council use a trusted independent third party organisation, TrustID, to complete these checks where it is appropriate to do so. Further details can be found by viewing the TrustID privacy polcy;
    • After this application form has been submitted you may be required to provide evidence to support the details of your application.
    • Any information you provide will be subject to pre-payment due diligence checks. As required by Government, Oxford City Council will also perform an appropriate post-payment assurance review. Your personal information will be used for a number of purposes. These include:
      • exchanging the information with government bodies and fraud prevention agencies who will use it to prevent fraud and money-laundering and to verify your identity. If fraud is detected, you could be refused certain services, finance, or employment. Further details can be found by viewing the fair processing notice on the cifas website;
      • for the prevention or detection of crime;
      • the prevention or detection of Council Tax and Non Domestic Rates avoidance/evasion;
      • utilising the information in risk assessment systems and data-matching initiatives;
      • matching your data against internally held and external data which may include credit reference data.
    • The Government will not accept deliberate manipulation and fraud. If any person(s) and/or business is found to have falsified their records, given false or misleading information, or omitted information to gain grant money it may be regarded as a criminal offence and they will face prosecution.
